Performance & Trading Specialist

Primary responsibilities will include performance analysis reporting and the investment and monitoring of  client accounts.  

The ideal candidate is highly productive and efficient with strong communication, partnering and problem solving skills. In addition to organizational, multitasking and prioritization skills, the candidate will  demonstrate the ability to act upon deadlines. They will also be reliable, maintain a cooperative attitude,  and be able to communicate and work effectively with multiple stakeholders, including: clients, custodians,  management, and other departments.  

Core Responsibilities Could Include 

  • Produce and deliver monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc client performance reports, including executive  summaries, board reports, and presentations in an accurate and timely manner  
  • Maintain report production schedule to facilitate deadline-oriented projects and objectives
  • Analysis of report formatting performance returns and/or benchmarks  
  • Work in a team environment and provide consultation to principals and senior investment  professionals in formulating appropriate responses to client requests  
  • Apply investment knowledge and sound judgment to select appropriate benchmarks and peer  universe comparisons  
  • Work with operations and investment staff to continually evaluate and improve processes and  systems that support performance reporting and investment operations  
  • Ongoing monitoring of client portfolios to ensure compliance with each client’s stated investment  objectives  
  • Execute trades with third party brokers and facilitate post trade allocation and processing support with brokers and custodians 
  • Produce periodic reports on account positioning for portfolio managers or other departments
  • Other duties may also be assigned 



Education & Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or Statistics preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry preferred

Knowledge and Technical Skills: 

  • Proficiency in business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite, specifically with respect to  financial, statistical, and reference functions
  • Knowledge of performance attribution and characteristics including benchmarks and composition
  • Knowledge of the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) preferred
  • Experience in the use of third-party tools such as Bloomberg, Advent APX and Assette is a plus
